This pretty much sums up alcohol and drug addiction. We live in a society where loneliness is the biggest disease, not helped by a rabid consumerism that describes people’s “net worth” in dollars, and sometimes in the dash for comfort, people get hooked on chemical fixes that mess up their lives and kill them. This is one of those stories.
We need to sit down with one another and be still, enough as we are. Damn.
